Majeed wins the H.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup

Majeed imposed himself in the H.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup (Gr.3 P/A) at Duindigt, Netherlands. Alban de Mieulle’s pupil was confronting a high level lot and needed to battle to win against Sir Bani Yas, winner of the Qatar International Stakes (Gr.1 P/A) last year.

Majeed already won on this track, very easily but at a lower level, two weeks ago. After an excellent season in Qatar, where he won two races, Majeed keeps performing.

“The horse already knew the racecourse because he won here two weeks ago”, said Alban de Mieulle, “but the level of his rivals was much higher this time. The pace was maybe not fast enough for him, but he does it well and Gaëtan Faucon rode him well, coming progressively. He progresses with age. He needs a good ground. The rest of his programme could be in Newbury, but we will see how he recovers from this race and how the ground is. He has won his ticket to the Qatar Arabian World Cup.”
